Clinical Imaging Associates
CIA imaging system is capable of detecting temperature variations of +/- 0.1° Celsius (0.18° F).
Infrared imaging for clinical applications has been researched and studied since the 1950s, gaining FDA approval for adjunct breast cancer screening in 1982.
Our primary focus is breast cancer risk assessment. National and international studies have concluded that infrared imaging is a valuable adjunct tool in the assessment of breast cancer risk.
Our clinics are staffed by women. Our imaging room is curtained for privacy. During the temperature acclamation and imaging process, only the client and infrared camera are inside the curtained area. The technician station is outside the curtained area. This allows for communication between the technician and client while providing complete privacy for the client.
Clinical infrared imaging is a screening tool that will allow health care providers to determine increases in risk of health problems and disease. Infrared imaging alone is not to be used to conclude any specific condition. Rather, infrared is used in conjunction with other screening and diagnostic methods to determine the risk of existing or developing disease or health concerns.
